Long time no see.....

These past few months have been so busy!! Very good busy. I have learnt so much in such a short space of time. Christmas is fast approaching and I am loving it. This is my favourite time of year.

Saturday was so much fun! The shoot was incredible and I cannot believe we filmed everything in one day. It has taken some hard work but we did it and the results will look brilliant. Can't wait to show everyone next year. #bigthings #itshappening

Monday Blues?

So its a Monday and its not exactly hot/ that nice outside! BUT..... there are loads to smile about, in particular this morning, when I got to watch Ed Sheeran's new Video for 'Thinking out Loud'
I love it so much, of course the dancing is incredible but also you can see how much fun they are having, its great to see all different dance styles mixed in together.
Love it!!!
Furthermore, I know that the commercial I shot for the other day may be coming out soon... It's a quick turn around :)

So if you do have the Monday blues, watch this video and I hope it brings a smile to your face as it has mine!

Got That Friday Feeling

Up early for an audition today, fingers crossed for that :)

Also, on Tuesday I got to film for a commercial and it was so much fun! Cannot wait to see the results. Can't say much more on that but I know it will look amazing!

Miss Saigon and More.....

I went to see Miss Saigon yesterday with some great friends and it was incredible!
I loved the music and the acting was sensational. I have decided to write a list of musicals and plays to watch for the end of the year and for next year.
Watching amazing actors, dancers and performers really inspires me and I hope one day I will bring people as much joy as I had yesterday through watching the show.

If you have not yet seen Miss Saigon please do, the talent is incredible, the set is phenomenal and I cannot forgot the music, both sung and music played - beautiful!!!

After the show, I also had an audition myself, fingers crossed for that :) I can definitely say it was great to have an audition straight after the show, I went to that audition full of spirit.  

Meet and Greet London Time Difference Party

It was great to meet so many wonderful people last night at the meet and greet for 'The London Time Difference Party' project. This is such a great project for East Asian actors and it is brilliant to see so many people come together to make new and big things happen.
Exciting things are happening.

I had so much fun filming with Elm Media today, I got to shoot with a Snorricam Rig, it was so much fun! 
Cannot wait to see the results. 

Class, auditions and more

Class last night was so brilliant! Really great to see all of us progressing as actors. 

Had a few auditions last week, so fingers crossed for those! 
This week, I have some filming on Thursday and that is going to be so exciting, I get to work with some new camera equipment  . 
I am also currently studying for my ETM (Exercise to Music) exam; so coffee is needed

Auditions

I have auditions soon and am very excited. I have been sent the scripts, which I have printed and am reading!!! Loving it.

WOLF HALL/BRING UP THE BODIES

My mum and I went to watch Wolf Hall/ Bring Up The Bodies on Wednesday night and the acting in this production completely blew me away.

Ben Miles who plays Thomas Cromwell was sensational. All the actors were really there in the moment and created such incredible intensity when needed. So Brilliant.

I do wish there was more within the set but I do understand that this production (an adaptation of the Hilary Mantel's novels, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies.) needs to focus solely on the acting. If that was the case, I wish they made more of the small dance section between Jane Seymour and Henry VIII, as I really felt I was transported back to that era.

Overall though, great production and a brilliant night.

London Intensive and More........

What can I say the London Intensive with Anthony Meindl was incredible, he is so inspirational and wonderful. What we have to do as actors is just be present, listen to your partner and commit to it all.

I was part of such a wonderful group, everyone was so supportive and I loved every minute of it. Anthony will be back in London in November, I cannot wait to participate again. Of course, I am still attending the workshops with the amazing Cynthia Levin and loving it.

I have been away for a while to the South of England and the weather has been so brilliant.
When we went to the beach, I was in a different country it was so HOT.

Loving the HOT weather, hope you all are too.....

The Great Weekend Madness

So alongside presenting the Dragon Boat Festival Music stage I also managed to do a workshop with actress Louise Jameson. Thank you to Mark Allen and Johanna Pollet for organising the event.

Meeting Louise Jameson was incredible, when she walks into a room, not only has she got amazing piercing blue eyes, she also brings with her a great energy. She is so positive and so encouraging.
The acting exercises we did was so refreshing and we saw some incredible scene work through improvisation. Furthermore, some brilliant monologue pieces.

I learnt so much during that workshop, not only did I learn a great deal, I also got to meet loads of great actors.

Dragon Boat Festival 2014

I had a great time celebrating and presenting the Dragon Boat Festival!!! Meeting the acts and hearing them perform was incredible. There was an amazing backstage crew too, it was a truly great day to celebrate an amazing tradition!!!

Brilliant Shoot

I had such a great time recently shooting for a commercial!!! Cannot wait to see it all.

Also, I have been concentrating on the Anthony Meindl course.
I am learning such a great deal about the craft of Acting; what do we want to do in the scene? All we want, is to tell the story of what is happening to these characters, and to be present in the moment. That is what we need to be doing in our scene work.

Anthony Meindl and more

The Anthony Meindl classes I have been attending have been amazing!!! Really learning a lot; breathing is so important in acting, its amazing how easily it is to hold your breath and not breathe during a scene.
Everything (emotion, feeling) comes from that breath we take. SO Important!!!

Audit Class - Anthony Meindl

I had such an amazing night on Monday, auditing the Anthony Meindl class in London. I am definitely signing up and cannot wait to get started. The teaching style is so unique and raw; it really challenges the actor.

Cannot wait to get going with it. Learn learn learn, never stopping to learn. :)

It was so great to work with everyone on this shoot. I had an amazing time and it was such a brilliant story to tell. So glad to be apart of this.

Audition/ Filming

Had such a fun audition yesterday, truly enjoyed it. I got to meet up with my good friend Bruce Chong and get some ideas down for a script he has written, I am so excited to see where the script goes. :) It is such a pleasure to be filming all weekend, I am really looking forward to it. I really hope the sun stays out, it is really starting to feel like summer is on its way.

LOVE THIS

I would absolutely love to work The Sacred Egg. They directed this brilliant video; music by Breach, song Everything you never had. Great song and I love the movement of the piece and how it is captured on film. As an audience member you feel the movement in your body just by looking at it. The choreography is so effective.

The Sarced Egg have also directed a short film 'The waiting rooms of a human heart.' - Its Romantic, witty, and extremely funny.

New Headshots

I am trying to select a few headshots to be edited and it is really hard.
It's difficult finding the right imagine that works for you and the character you are.
But I am so grateful that I have many to chose from, my photographer Saira MacLeod was so amazing to work with and I can't wait to get back in the studio with her for some other shoots :)

Auditions and new adventures

So I ran the Reading Half Marathon and it was such an incredible feeling, running with loads of people for great causes. This is definitely going to be a yearly event now :)

Had an audition on Wednesday and one today! Fingers crossed for both of those :)
I am now having mandarin lessons every week to keep practising the language and improving it.

I just recently heard a quote that my mum told me, and I just think it is so beautiful, it is just so important to know you an achieve anything you want if you work hard for it:

Brilliant Busy Week - Short film, Auditions and News

This week has been busy and I am LOVING it. Wrapped for short film 'Hot Chocolate With Marshmallows', such a great time working with some amazing people. So much fun to do and cannot wait to see the results. Had an audition today, fingers crossed for that. Yayayyyy :) Also the GREAT news is that I have been selected to perform on stage at monologueslamuk in front of industry professionals on 17th February 2014! So thrilled! House of Parliament presenting and filming this weekend.

I had such an incredible night presenting the Chinese New Year reception at The House of Parliament. What a great event, I am so lucky to be part of it. Year of the Horse - Have a great Chinese New Year everyone. Also I have filming this weekend. I am so excited about it! It's going to be so much fun :)

Acting Workshop and work :)

Going to be doing some Great and exciting work at the end of January and beginning of February. Going to an exciting audition too for Monologue Slam in Feb. So many things happening and I am so grateful. Keep them coming, I am ready to work hard :)

Leoni Kibbey Workshop

Really great workshop yesterday with Leoni Kibbey, Casting Director. She made us all feel so relaxed and I learnt so much about commercial, TV and film castings. So much information to take in, but I am loving it.

Nothing But Wings, Red Bull

Got to film for Red Bull at the end of 2013 and it was such a great experience. I got to film with a GO PRO for the first time which was Brilliant, going on a bike and running. I worked with amazing people - really love the video - Get Motivated :) http://nothingbutwings.redbull.com/en-us

Audition

Fingers Crossed for my audition yesterday, one of the best auditions I've ever been to, purely because it was just so fun to improvise and act around the topic matter. I really enjoyed it. Great way to start the year!!!Keep them coming ;)

2014

I had a great Christmas and NYE; what a lovely send off for 2013! NOW for 2014- let the hard work begin :)
